This table and figures cover within-class retention information. The rate is the number of students enrolled in the last week of the semester divided by the number attending classes on first census day. Short-term modular classes cannot be included, but open entry-exit classes are, if they have begun by first census. The open entry-exit classes often have larger enrollments at the end of the semester than at the beginning, thus boosting the college's retention rates.
